The Court Performance Management System (CPMS) Survey Report is designed to provide courts with ongoing
"feedback" from those people who use and receive the services of the courts. The survey report summarizes
the responses from the web-based "Citizen's Questionnaire" that became available on the court system's public
Internet site in January 2006. Responses from the on-line survey are compiled monthly to summarize respondent's
opinions about their direct courthouse experience regarding court access and fairness, as well as background
information about the respondents. Summaries of the results are complied into separate reports for each section
on access, fairness, and respondent background and description that can be accessed on two levels, for the state
as a whole, and for each county.
In general, the results presented in this report serve as a management tool that courts can use to help:
Determine their strengths and identify where improvements can be made.
Monitor changes in court users' opinions over time.
Evaluate the success of ongoing quality improvements.
* CAUTION: please note that it is important to interpret these results with the
following in mind:
The survey responses are based on a person's perception, rather
than hard facts.
The survey statements are general and do not provide enough information
to suggest a direct improvement or change, therefore further study may be needed.
Survey results may not be valid for those sections/pages of the report
where the number of people who responded to the survey is less than 20, or N= a number less than 20. For those
sections/pages displaying less than 20 respondents (N= 19 or less), a warning message notes that
the results should be interpreted with caution.
